Wow, when I first heard/saw this I was completely shocked! Who plays Gimli? John Rhys-Davies does! Who is John Rhys-Davies? Well, if you've ever seen Princess Diaries 2 or One Night with the King you've seen him! He is the uncle of Lord Nicholas in Princess Diaries 2, and Mordecai in One Night with the King, but he is also Gimli in The Lord of the Rings!
There's Gimli and there's John Rhys-Davies! It's amazing what make-up, fake hair, and a little editing can do to a person!

That's so cool! I know all the actors of importance in Lord of the Rings, and I knew his name was John Rhys Davies, but I just didn't connect it.
