One More Week!

We have to wait one more week, until we'll be airborne and on our way to California! I am really excited. No we won't be in Hollywood or anywhere near it, but we will be in San Fransisco. (Not at night, though!) We will be staying about an hour out of San Fransisco, with my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew. I am really working on patience!

Verse of the Week! Week 5.

Pslam 121: 1-2

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills-
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of Heaven and earth.

Really Good Book!!

I just finished a book called; Mara Daughter of the Nile. It is a n awesome book, for girls. How a came across it you might ask well, my mom assigned it as a History book, for Egypt. You may draw the line when I say History, but don't with this one! It's not a text book, but a novel! If you like action, suspense, danger, and romance, this is the book for you! ( There's not completely unacceptable romance.) Here's a glimpse;

"A compelling story of adventure, romance, and intrigue, set in ancient Egypt.

Mara is a proud and beautiful slave girl who yearns for freedom. In order to gain it, she finds herself playing the dangerous role of double spy for two arch enemies- each of whom support a contender for the throne of Egypt.

Against her will, Mara finds herself falling in lave with one of her masters, the noble Sheftu, and she starts to believe in his plans of restoring Thutmose III to the throne, But just when Mara is ready to offer Sheftu her help and her heart, her duplicity is discovered, and a battle ensues in which Mara's life and the fate of Egypt are at stake."

"Dangerous espionage, an unusual love story, and rightly drawn background make this book a capture quick and lasting interest"
-Horn Book

"Thoroughly engrossing."

One More Week!!

Ahhhh! I have one more week of NO TV! It been interesting and challenging. I have often found myself doing nothing except wishing I could watch TV, and I almost gave in! The only reason I didn't give in is because I had posted on my blog about the challenge!! I must say, I have done a lot more reading. I am currently reading Great Excpectations, Beautiful Girlhood, and Assumptions that Effect our Lives. Books are a whole lot more interesting than most movie's! Although, I have been craving to watch some movie's such as: The Lord of the Rings! I am really craving ACTION movie's!

Livestock Show!

We (meaning my mom and I) went to the livestock show Wednesday! We went and met a pen pal of mine, Kayla! Once we got there and met my pen pal we had some lunch. Then we looked around at some shops. After that we went and watched the pig races and then I rode the mechanical bull! Even though it sounds like we didn't do much, it was really fun!!

Camping!

Well, we just got back from a two and a half day camping trip!! Let me explain what we did.....
First, we got there at 12:00 a.m. Once, we got there we set up camp. We didn't get to bed until 2:00a.m. When we woke up in the morning we ate breakfast did our morning devotions and jumped on the 4-wheelers!! Zac and I took a ride while my mom and dad were getting ready. We went exploring and on our way back we had to go over a log in the path..... Zac got over it fine but not me! One wheel on the 4-wheeler went before the other so, when the back wheels went over I flung forward and hit my head on the dash board above the handlebars!! So, I had a big bump on my forehead for a while and a bit of a headache. After, Zac and I had finished exploring, we went back to camp. By the time we got there mom and dad where ready to go! So, we all went to a part of the lease to take down two deer stands and two feeders. (Zac and I rode on the 4- wheelers.) When we got back to the campsite we had some lunch and then went back to exploring! That night, I cooked Hobo Diner, Cinnamon Sticks, and Super Deluxe S'mores! Afterward 's, we took a awesome look at the stars! What an amazing God we have. When we woke up the next morning we did the same thing have breakfast, explore, take down a stand and feeder. eat lunch, and then we packed up camp and headed home! It was an awesome weekend! I should mention that my dog, Hadassah, went with us!! She loved the pine cones.The only thing I didn't like a was the bump on my head, and that I'm as red as can be!! Yes, I'm sunburned!!
(And boy does it hurt!!) Beside's that it was an awesome weekend!

Spring Poem!

A Prayer in Spring

Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers today;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertian harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing year.

Ah, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
And make us happy in the happy bees,
The swarm dilating roung the perfect trees.

And make us happy in the darting bird
That suddenly above the bees is heard,
The meteor that thrusts with needle bill,
And off a blossom in mid-air stands still.

For this is love anf nothing else is love,
The which it is reserved for God above,
To sanctify to what far ends he will,
But which it only need what we fulfill.

House in Damon!

Well, our offer has been excepted by the owner of the house! Now it has gone to a bank, into a stack of papers. We don't know when it will be excepted, counter offered, or turned down it could be a couple of weeks, a couple of months, six months, or a year! Please, be praying that God will give us patience during this time and that his will, will be done.

Verse of the Week!

Pslam 89:1-2

A maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite.

1I will sing of the Lord's great love forever;
with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known
through all generations.

2I will declare that your love stands firm
forever
that you established your
faithfulness in heaven itself.
