Reformation Day

Let me explain this one! After the play we went outside, and saw the field!!! We thought it would be awesome to link arms and skip down the field, so that's what we did. It was very interesting..... thank God nobody got hurt! Although we almost had a couple of falls, none of us actually fell, I don't think! :)

Just encase you don't know what I mean by play, let me explain. Our church celebrates Reformation Sunday. Caleb, who you will soon see, and his Dad decided to write a play for us to do. So.... we ended up doing a play on Reformation Sunday with awesome dresses... including the guys. *Laughing*
This is my brother, Zac, and me in our costumes! My brother's name for the play was Viret, and mine was Elegant Young Lady. My Mom worked soooo hard on this dress and it is absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much Mom!
I love this picture!
This is Wilson, Jean Tandy in the play! He was a Roman Catholic.
This is Josh, John Calvin in the play! I think we all know who he was!
This is Caleb (I mentioned him earlier), Farel in the play! Someone who supported Calvin.
This is me, the Elegant Young Lady in the play. Actually, one of our friends said that I could be in a Narnia movie because of my dress! It made me so happy!!!!!!
This is a group picture of the cast and more!

Reformation day was really fun! I really enjoyed wearing the dress that my wonderful Mom made! I will try to get some better pics of it up soon!

Looks fun.
If you like the reformation you should read The Betrayal(about Calvin) by Douglas Bond, and Hunted and Harried(about the Covenanaters) by RM Ballantyne, also one of my friends said that Saint Bartholomew's Eve(about the Saint Bartholomew's Day massacre) by GA Henty is a good one, but I haven't read that one.

The play was actually based on the Lausanne Debate in The Betrayal. :) Reformation day is a time we remember the different reformers and what they did. It is normally celebrated Oct. 31st, the day that (in 1517) Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses on the door of the Catholic church in Whittenburg. (Our church celebrated it the day afterward, Nov. 1st.)

That was a blast...but all that sewing was...um...indescribable...not in a good way! j/k.

Great pics. Good times!!
