The Widow's Might is a wonderful movie! It is about a widow who is going to lose her home over property taxes, but some of her friends are determined to stop it! It was shown at The San Antonio Film Festival by Vision Forum. I really recommend buying this movie! Oh, I almost forgot to mention that it's a musical/western! :)

The Books I'm Reading
I'm such a book worm!
The Horse and His Boy by C.S Lewis. This so far, is a very good book. One of my friends said that I really need to read the Narnia Series so I've started. Well, I had already read The Magicians Nephew and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe!
Beautiful Girlhood I think it's written by Karen Andreola. So far, this book has been awesome! I would recommend it to any girl with no hesitation!
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. I am reading The Fellowship of the Ring right know and just like the other two books it is really good!

Goals/Plans for the Summer
A lot of people take of school for the Summer. Well I'm not, and I don't mind that much. I mean why would you want to have nothing to do except burn up outside. I would rather not have a lot of schoolwork in the holiday months, than in the Summer. Anyways, I'm doing school during the Summer, working on our house (so that we can sell it), doing some fun stuff with family and friends, finish and start good books, and whatever the Lord has in plan! :) I just hope that no one in my family brakes anything this Summer! Last summer, my Dad, my brother and I all broke a bone in two months time. Talk about bad luck! My dad broke his foot, my brother broke his collarbone, and I broke my arm again. We are know as the broken bone family. My brother and I are very well acquainted with the local hospital. I've broken my arms four times! (twice on each arm) OUCH! Anyway, my goal for this summer is to not brake anything! :)

Verse of the Week

Matthew 2:13-15
13When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph on a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."
14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15 where he stayed until the death of Herod.
I like these verses, because of the obedience that Joseph had. He didn't ask any questions or argue with the angel sent by God, instead he obeyed without delay!

Recipe

This Recipe is wonderful for that summer day when you want something with a lot flavor! It does have a kick of spiciness. :) It is a wonderful meal for those who like crawfish. My Mom and I made some rice to go with it. This is about a 30 minute meal (without the rice) and is very easy to make. It's clean-up is very easy, too. It's very delicious, and filling (with rice)! Serves four people.
Cajun Crawfish
Ingredients:
2 tsp olive oil
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 medium stalk celery, chopped
2 medium garlic cloves, minced
1 pound crayfish (crawfish), tails
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper or 1 tsp cajun seasoning
1/2 tsp table salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 medium scallion (chives), chopped
1 Tbsp parsley or cilantro, fresh, chopped
Directions:
~ Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add pepper, onion, celery and garlic;
cook, stirring occasionally, until soft, about 5 minutes.
~ Add crayfish (crawfish), cayenne pepper, or cajun seasoning, salt and black pepper; stir to coat. Cook until crayfish (crawfish) are bright pink and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
~Remove from heat and stir in scallions (chives) and parsley or cilantro. Yield about 1 cup per serving.
Notes:
If you can't find crayfish- also known as crawfish- you can substitute large, peeled, deveined shrimp in their place.
